These terms apply to engagements with IC Eight, including the Japan Market Validation Kit and other reviews or projects described on this site. By submitting a form, paying an invoice, or otherwise engaging IC Eight, you agree to these terms.
Scope of work
The scope of each engagement is defined in writing (email or invoice) before work begins. Work outside that scope, including significant revisions to the original request, may require a separate engagement or additional fee.
Payment
Fixed-fee engagements, such as the Japan Market Validation Kit, are paid in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Cancellations and refunds
If you cancel before work has begun, you will receive a full refund. Once work has begun, fees are non-refundable, as they reflect time and analysis already completed. If you have concerns about the engagement at any point, please reach out — we would rather resolve an issue directly than rely on this policy.
Deliverables
Deliverables are provided as described in the relevant service page or written agreement. IC Eight does not guarantee specific business outcomes, such as revenue, adoption, or conversion results, as these depend on factors outside our control.
Confidentiality
Information shared with IC Eight in the course of an engagement, including product details, data, and screenshots, is treated as confidential and is not shared with third parties or used outside the scope of the engagement.
Limitation of liability
IC Eight's liability for any engagement is limited to the amount paid for that engagement. IC Eight is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of deliverables.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your engagement applies to that engagement.
